The Palmetta Design Gallery was established by the artist couple, István and Anna Regős in 1998 in the 200-year-old cellar of their house in the historic town of Szentendre, Hungary. Their aim was to create a place, a hidden gem, where visitors and customers can get an insight to the hungarian and international, classical and contemporary design. Thanks to its frequent location and the well-selected range of design goods, the Palmetta has become a popular destination among foreign and local design fans. In 2013 they opened their second store in Budapest at the new art district of Bartók Béla út, in Budapest, the Palmetta Design & Textile Art Gallery, which is located just a few steps from the well-known Gellert Thermal Bath.
